Thinkpad T440p: Mobile Broadband - it's Inactive button !!!

Hello all,

I have ThinkPad T440p with Win7 pro I7 processor,

it has SIM adapter under the battery, I insert the broadband sim I have and downloaded Access Connection

The app has 4 options WiFi  / Mobile connection / WiMax & Other connections,

Why i can't click Mobile Connection ?!!!! it's Inactive with Wimax too.


I need to activate it please.

To activate WWAN in your Lenovo ThinkPad T440p, first you have to ensure that you have a WWAN card and WWAN antennas installed. WWAN upgradable models have the WWAN antennas installed from the factory these will be red and blue wires (the Wi-Fi are typically white, black and grey or just black and grey depending on model). If you have WWAN antennas installed from the factory, probably you need to purchase a compatible WWAN card and install it. If you have a WWAN card installed in your system, install Lenovo Mobile Broadband Activation which will guide you through the activation of mobile broadband.


Go to Lenovo Support site, enter MTM number of your device in quick path and get the system specifications. If you find any difficulties, please share the MTM of your device.
