I have an annoying issue with my new T440s.
Trackpad stops working after I get it out of sleep. In fact, it works partially (two finger, edge scrolling is OK).
Even I re-install the driver, it won't work everytime.
Any suggestions? Is this a hardware issue?

Just more information about the issue:
The trackpad is acting like being disabled in BIOS.
2 finger scroll , side scroll are fine. When my screen dims down, I touch the pad and screen is back up.
"enable touchpad" is grayed out in Mouse Properties under control panel.
All trackpad features are fine, only the mouse is not working.
Another thing I noticed: when I get to Windows login screen works fine (sometimes), but then, once I get authenticated and get Windows loaded, its stops working.
BTW, I'm using Windows 7
Driver reinstall, reload factory image, enabled/disabled in BIOS.. nothing helps.
Hopefuly a Lenovo stuff would read this and share some thoughts.
This is my second 440s replacement. First one did not wake up, after it gets to sleep.

funny, i'm having a different problem on the same machine. My T440s wireless adapter stops working after wake up, it shows that it's connected to the internet but the internet doesn't work.

Did you ever resolve this?
I seem to have a similar issue. I have a new T440s, this month. When it wakes from sleep, the pointer doesn't respond consistently--hesitates and gets stuck when I'm moving around on the trackpad. There is also some jumpiness when I click on something so that I will miss what I want to click on. And sometimes it doesn't seem to respond to a click at all. I disabled the “tap-to-click” feature because it was so sensitive, I was inadvertently clicking on everything.
