The l850gl is sort of working now with my T480s. It doesn't get very good signal though, when my phone on AT&T has 3 bars of signal the T480s also with an AT&T sim may or may not be able to get signal at all. Plus, often enough to matter it won't connect even if it would have very good signal, and I have to toggle cellular off and back on or possibly reboot the entire computer to get it to work. I have Windows configured to manage the connection automatically. I'm pretty sure that I do have a different driver than I did previously because the AT&T My Access application looks completely different than it used to. I'm still mostly unimpressed. At least the computer doesn't crash anymore like I described earlier, but now the signal is lackluster at best.

This is pretty interesting... I'm on Elisa Finland too (HKI) with T580 + Fibocom L830-EB + Windows Generic Driver and having right oppiste experience: Fibocom gives me ~150Mbps while the SIM installed to my router gives me only 56Mbps. And I never experiensed the connection loss problem. Just for record.

I'm completely puzzled. Our company has now purchased several T480 models and the Fibocom 830 and 850 models BOTH seem to be totally and utterly unreliable POS.
On my T480 the L830-EB works about 2 hours then drops and appears again. On our newest T480 the 850-GL model disappears completely and returns only after full reboot which is a real work day killer every time.
It seems these pieces of junk just cannot maintain any solid connection what so ever. I found this thread https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-T400-T500-and-newer-T/Fibocom-L850-GL-WWAN-Problems-on-Multipl...
And tried the same USBLogView software on with my L830-EB and surprise surprise:
There are now numerous threads like this: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-T400-T500-and-newer-T/T480s-issue-with-Fibocom-L830-EB-after-u...
So either the quality control is really bad with Fibocom or there is a severe incompatibility issue between Windows 10 Pro and these Fibocom models.

Have anyone had luck installing the Fibocom L830-EB?
I have joust bought a T480 on work but i have not had any success getting my WWan running :-(
It installs a FiboCom L830-EB with generic Microsoft drivers, but I am not getting any data through, the connection.
Used my sim in my old X280 and other devices, and it works, joust not in the T480 :-(
