I have a T500 that I've used for a couple of years and it does well enough for me but I thought about using the slot occupied by my Gobi 2000 WAN card to install a M.2 SSD drive for additional storage. Specificially, I chose a Samsung 850 EVO.
Windows 7 will not recognize it as anything other than a "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" and cannot locate drivers for it. Samsung Magician will not recognize it, either, and I do not see anything in the BIOS that would allow me to activate the device. At any rate, my O/S reads the device but cannot load drivers for it.
Am I correct in concluding that I cannot use a M.2 storage device in this particular model?
