I have a T400s with a Toshiba SSD running Windows 7. Does anyone know if Lenovo / Toshiba are planning on releasing a firmware upgrade to support TRIM?

Hi, are you sure you have tshiba SSD in your T400s ? Because T400s is delivered with SAMSUNG SSD drive, not Toshiba. Or am i wrong? What specification do you have in Device manager?

My T400s also comes with a Toshiba 120G SSD. It's THNS128GG4BAAA-N.

I actually posted the same question in the Windows 7 experience forum a while back but got no response. I'm running a T400s 2801CTO with the same SSD as the OP. I got a 6.9 rating in Win7 Ultimate 64-bit. I'd actually prefer some kind of garbage collection when running idle instead of TRIM.

Darn, 5.9 is rather low... if the windows performance index is actually a suited tool to test performance. I do also reach 7.1 with my 256 toshiba on W7 64.
Anyway I find it rather odd that lenovo equips the laptops with such different SSD's.. assuming Toshiba would not release any TRIM support for this series, this would mean quite a disadvantage, thus for the same price!?
Or am I wrong and TRIM support will can be expected anyways in near future...?
Cheers! (hi everybody, me = new here)

I'm seeing 7.0 with Win7 64. I hope Lenovo is working with Toshiba to enable TRIM support on these drives via a FW upgrade.

I strongly second you.
