TouchPad unresponsive - is a fix coming?

2010-12-28, 21:41 PM

I have a T410 purchased in November 2010.

When I click "Alt-Tab" to switch windows, the touchpad takes a second or so before it starts to work.

I work fast and find it very aggrevating that my first swipe on the touchpad is ignored.

Is there any fix coming?

Are your Synaptics drivers up to date? It works fluidly for me.

Mine has locked up on me but not after user Alt+tab. The only thing that fixes mine is a hard restart. And I have all my drivers up to date.

My T400's touchpad XOR :P TrackPoint used to lock up on me occasionally and was able to be fixed by using Fn+F8 to toggle the state of the affected device. It hasn't done that for the better part of the past year.

Maybe try manually installing the latest driver off the driver matrix over the existing copy? System Update occasionally has a hiccup in installing drivers for me, especially if I run Windows Update before TVSU on a new install.

I've got Synaptics 15.1.19.0.  I think this is current for Lenovo, unless you download from Synaptics?

It appears so. Did you try installing a new copy over the existing one?
