I have enabled Two-fingre scrolling. But sometimes it doesn't work right after starting the laptop. I have to restart to get it work again. So the situation is whether this feature works in my laptop or not is a random event. :-( The drivers are up-to-date. Any suggestions?

Can you tell us a bit more about the situation overall ?
No doubt, you've done all the basics - checked / updated drivers and bios to the latest levels...
Please elaborate a bit more on what works and what doesn't... tell us about your startup, what's loading, what you are trying to access... just describe a bit more if you can.

Thanks a lot for extending your help.
Actually, I have now seen that it is not the matter with two-finger scrolling rather I just cannot use touchpad to scroll (one finger or two fingers, whatever). However the combination of trackpoint and middle click can still scroll pages say webpages or any document like PDF files.
The problem is intermittent. And sometimes solved by rebooting.
I have installed latest Bios and UltraNav drivers.
I am not so good at computers. I could not understand what you meant by "telling about startup". I am running Windows 7 enterprise version, 7600 build and the startup remains at its "factory settings" (if I can say so). I have added Rocketdock, Gmail notifier and Dexpot utilities to it.
There is no other problem with my laptop except for few random shutdowns!
Hope you can help me out...............
