USB headset not detected

Logitech USB headset not detected by Lenovo T420 - 64Bit Windows 7. Headset is new and verified it works in another laptop. Tried all USB ports in Lanovo and still not detected. Any ideas?

May i know does your machine works with other USB device? Please try update BIOS. If problem remain, please contact local lenovo for further assistance.

1) yes other USB devives do work with this laptope

1) I have updated the BIOS as recommended but the headset is still not picked up.

Are there any drivers needed? Or is it just plug and play? Also after you have plug the UBS headset in, check in devmgmt.msc if there are any "Yellow exclamation" mark beside the device or unknown USB devices?

Hi ExJamJus,

 

no drivers are required, and no yellow exclamations in the device manager, nothing picked up in device manager

Hmm ... In control panel > Sound -> is the USB headset showing there? Can set it as default?

No does not show up under In control panel > Sound. Tried in another Lenovo laptop same problem. Tried in a different vendor laptop works fine...

Try plugging it to a USB hub then to the laptop and see if it works.

tried the USB hub, didnt work either, headset still not recognised, can only assume its the corp image on the laptop. Will source another headset, thanks anyway.
