That link you provided is for Windows 7. I've got 8.1 x64. I'm assuming it won't work. I've been using the driver from Intel's site. This is what I'm running: 10.18.10.3621.
I have also not had any luck with the monitors daisy chaining out from the dock (FW 2.17 I believe). I'm forced to use my mDP port on the laptop. It has me worried that the plug is getting looser. It's still holding the cord in just fine, but I notice there's not as much resistance when I plug the mDP cable in.

Hello,
I too have been chasing this ghost. I'm on a 40A20090US (Thinkpad Ultra Dock 90W, code 40A20090XX) with a T440p 20AN laptop on win8.1/64 with two Dell U2414H monitors daisychained as T440p->Dock->DP (shared hdmi)->miniDP (in)->U2414H->DP (out)->miniDP (in)->U2414H. I know I can simply use both DP connectors on the dock, but where is the fun in that.
I found updated firmware for the dock: v2.21.000 here:
Firmware: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mob
Release Notes: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mob
Source: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?Legacy
Please note that Lenovo Support Staff seem not to update all pages. The primary page for the dock lists the old firmware v2.17.000 as of today (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/
After updating the dock to firmware v2.21.000 and shutting down, powering off the dock, then relaunching into win8.1, I enabled DP 1.2 on the first Dell monitor in the chain and et voilà, the screen popped to life. Then the second monitor enabled to DP 1.2 and it too sprang to life. Neat!
I now have a full DP 1.2 Multi-Stream Transport (MST) setup based on the exact configuration above. Very nice.
To reset your dell U2414H screen back to non-DP1.2 while debugging, follow this guide: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/periph
For completion these are the versions of drivers I run:
A fresh win 8.1 x64 install on a T440p running:
Intel HD graphics 10.18.10.3621 from Lenovo support site
Thinkpad Ultra Dock 90W, code 40A20090US running v2.21.000 firmware
The above work fine for me.

philip79/sarbin,
You guys solved my issue. This is working just fine for me now. I've got three Dell U2414H monitors. I have them daisy chained from the dock to the left monitor (DP 1.2), center monitor (DP 1.2) to the right monitor (DP 1.1!!) and I finally have all three working from the dock. THANK YOU!
I couldn't get one of the monitors to respond to a single DP/HDMI on the dock. I had to use an older 17" Samsung LCD on VGA in order to flash the firmware above. Once I did that, I shutdown the laptop, took it off the dock, and unplugged the power from the dock. I then powered the dock, popped the laptop back on the dock, and powered it up. The monitors sprung to life. That hardly _ever_ happens with these Dells. I'm thrilled. Thanks again!
Jim

By the way, before doing this fix, my doc was not picking up ANY display port monitor or HDMI. I have the same model you have. I tried the 2.17 firmware, and nothing. After this firmware update and updating the graphics drivers from lenovo, it picked up both monitors on both display ports. excellent!

Ho w has this been working for you since? I sometimes get one monitor that won't return from sleep. Rebooting, shutting down, or even removing the laptop and redocking doesn't help. I am going to try and daisy chain them since I have the same monitors you do.
