I have some trouble with the boot time of my T510. I have read there is a bugfix in the Intel AMT firmware update concerning this problem. I want to update to version 184.108.40.2062. My current version is 220.127.116.113. When I call MEUPD.CMD I get the following error message:
Firmware Update Utility version 18.104.22.1683
Copyright (C) 2007-2009 , Intel Corporation. All Rights Reserved
Trying to connect to MEI driver.
Error (8725): Failed to receive last update status from the firmware

have you checked this:
If you see any errors, check Device Manager to see if the following device drivers are installed on the system:
Intel® Management Engine Interface
If not installed, install using the following packages:
Intel AMT 6.0 - Management Engine Interface and Serial Over LAN (SOL) Driver.

I´m a volunteer here using ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th Gen. Silver Edition, ThinkPad 13, Yoga 900, ThinkPad T430s, IdeaCentre B540.
TIP: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the system.
