Hi Folks,

I'm looking for a driver... :-)

I have a brand new T460 20FMS4A300 and I can't find the correct driver for this network controller.

Anyone have an idea ?

Hardware ID's :

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&SUBSYS_21818086
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&CC_028000

Thanks for your help,

Have a nice day!

Dave.

If the WiGiG 18260 adapter in your laptop is Lenovo branded (Lenovo FRU), generic drivers from Intel site will not work. Get them from Lenovo support site. For win10/64:

Hey Dave,

Try updating Intel(R) Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18260 from here and if its not getting installed try to install it from Device Manager.

Hi x220forme,

I get a message "A newer version is already installed"

Should I remove the newer or search for another solution ?

Thanks for your support !

Kind regards,
Dave.

Re: Unknown Network Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&CC_0280

Hey again,

Try to install the drivers from Device Manager like this Network Controller>Update driver>Network Adapters>Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer> Have Disk>Browse and then locate the Wifi driver from extracted folder which will be in C:/Drivers folder probably

Prabhansh

Re: Unknown Network Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&CC_0280

Hi Prabhansh,

When I do it that way I see 6 different drivers with a list of many different WiFi models.

The closest to the name WiGiG 18260 is a Dual driver with model name 8260.

I tried it but when installing this driver (that was not recommended by Windows) it stays on the install driver screen.

I waited for 10 minutes to be sure but it stays on that screen.

Seems to be a difficult one, a challenge :-)

Re: Unknown Network Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&CC_0280

Just a quick question are you installing for Windows 10 or Windows 7 as in this thread we have posted for both Windows 10 & Windows 7. And what about updating the drivers from Lenovo System Update have you tried?

Here's the Intel Wireless Gigabit Driver for Windows 7 see if it helps.

Re: Unknown Network Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_093C&CC_0280

Hi Prabhansh,

I tried to install the driver manualy but the system is unstable and i got th BSOD.

I'm going to reimage first to make sure that the wrong driver is gone.

I'm using a Windows 7 image.

The Lenovo Update did not found a driver for that network controller, that was the first thing I tried before posting to the forum :-)

Thanks for your help !!
Back to format and so on :-)
