Weird HD SMART values on a brand new ThinkPad T550

Hi,

Some weeks ago I bought a brand new ThinkPad T550 with a hybrid Seagate SSHD (ST500LM000-SSHD-8GB)

I'm using HDTune to test the drive and I've got very strange SMART values for a new hard disk:

I know Seagate drives give SMART values in a weird format. When I select "Power On Hours Count" HDTune shows "90 hours" that seems to be ok, but the other values seems to be completely out of standard ranges (I haven't turned on my laptop 116 times in 3 weeks...) and that "Reallocated Event Count" value worries me a bit.

What do you think?

Thank you.

Re: Weird HD SMART values on a brand new ThinkPad T550

HD Tune or HD Tune Pro? The free HD Tune is grossly out of date and might not read newer SMART values correctly.

You can also try something like Speccy or CrystalDiskInfo to check SMART data.

I was using free HD Tune 5.5...

I've downloaded Crystal DiskInfo, but I think the values are almost the same:

Re: Weird HD SMART values on a brand new ThinkPad T550

Apparently Seagate does some weird vendor specific SMART value definitions:

I guess then your drive is probably fine?

Re: Weird HD SMART values on a brand new ThinkPad T550

I see... maybe the drive is perfectly fine after all.

Thank you very much!
