Windows 10 Bluetooth not working

after upgrading to Windows 10 if I want to transfer a file by Bluetooth I have to manually start the receive service and run fsquirt to start my T430s receiving the file.  Previously this was working automatically under Win 7.

 

Any ideas welcome!

Also, please install the windows 10 bluetooth drivers & check if issue persist or not. Click here for drivers

No incompatability listed for my machine.

 

Driver already installed.

 

Problem persists.

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

 

We are sorry to hear that your issue has not yet been fixed.

 

Please try installing Hot keys integration driver & try pressing Fn + F5. Check if Bluetooth application opens. Click here for drivers.

 

Also try installing Broadcom Bluetooth drivers. Click here to install.

 

For better understanding about the Bluetooth settings, Click here

Thanks Shashi,

 

After installing Hot Keys Fn + F5 opens the Win10 Action Centre.

 

Installing the Broadcomm drivers now allows me to send via bluetooth from the laptop without going through Bluetooth Devices.  That is I can right click on a file and Send To Bluetooth without any other steps.

 

However to receive a file on the laptop I still have to go through Bluetooth Devices and select Receive a File.  With Win7Pro I could just send from another device and it would automatically be received on the laptop.

Hi Gros,

 

You may try to set the receive Bluetooth settings to receive automatically when you try to pair the Bluetooth devices with PC. Let us know if it helps.

 

You may also change the Bluetooth settings and check whether you are able to receive the files automatically. (You have to check the box receive files automatically when you try to connect the Bluetooth devices to PC).

 

Refer the below link to change the Bluetooth settings.

Hi Shashi

 

Looks as if this is a Win10 issue.  There is no option to receive automatically when pairing the devices.  I see other people have had similar issues and windows support oes not appear to have helped.  Hopefully a future update might correct the problem.

Try to install the generic Intel Bluetooth driver which is described in the following thread:

This worked on my old T510 (Windows 10 Pro x64).
