disabling switchable graphics for windows 7

Hi experts,

I am using a 4gb T400 and I am trying to free up the memory by disabling the switchable graphics in the bios change it to discrete graphics. and yet I still cant get close to a 3gb memory on my 32 bit Windows 7. I have seen in this forum they have done it but I cant seems able to get mine close to that. Is there anything else I can do !?

I have reboot a few times between integrated graphics and descrete graphics, to try to free the memory but to no avail. Pls any1, is there anything I have missed out. Smiley Sad

Re: disabling switchable graphics for windows 7

boot into BIOS with F1

Enter Config->Display->

Switch OS detection to Disable.

boot into OS

uninstall Switchable graphics driver from unitl and install ATI driver from ->

reboot system.

more info on switchable graphics and why you were having the problem on unit

hopefully this solves the problem.

tell me if that fixes the issue for you.
