I'm using Lenovo ThinkPad T580 and would like to connect eGPU Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 550 with GTX970.
When I connect Thunderbolt 3 cable to upper USB-C socket I get error "Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited" I was not able to find any useful information about this issue.
So I connected Thunderbolt 3 cable to USB-C socket which is used by docking station.
It works fine I was able to install nvidia drivers, but it works perfectly only during the time when battery is charging. When battery is fully charged egpu starts to disconnect/connect all the time. The screenshot shows last moments before it goes through endless disconnect/connect cycles.
This eGPU works absolutely fine with my other laptop Dell XPS13 (whether it's fully charged or not)
I updated BIOS and already tried different Thunderbolt 3 settings in BIOS.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
