lenovo T440 installing os

hi, my laptop model lenovo thinkpad T440, need to replace new harddisk. how about the original OS ?

in cmos thinkpad setup, in menu restart -  perh 4, OS Optimized Defaults ( disabled and enable )

(item Specific Help ) the default value of setting below are changed accordingly.

select "enable" to meet Microsoft Windows 8 (R) Certification RequirementIMG_20170418_185850.jpg

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.

As I understand that you have query regarding OS installation in T440. 

The OS Optimized defaults is basically required when you are installing Windows 8 and above.

And if it is enabled, some other settings are changed automatically, such as CSM Support, UEFI/Legacy Boot, Secure Boot, and Secure RollBack Prevention.
