"Lenovo Platform Service" process seems to restart endlessly. It seems to be crashing and restarting, thus failing to function.
When I select it in my list of processes, Windows Task Manager loses focus from it a split second later. The entry in the Description column appears and disappears.
Additionally, it appears that this restart problem makes my mouse have the spinning wheel thing, which is unacceptable when doing slide presentations or playing videos in public.
Anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix this? Within the last 5 days, I did all available updates from Lenovo for my machine (after doing Windows updates) and now this is happening. Was not happening before.

Lenovo Platform Service is a component of Lenovo PM Device. You might try rolling back to a previous version of the Lenovo PM Device to see if the problem goes away. You can find Lenovo PM Device in Device Manager -> System Devices.
Another idea is to stop and disable the Lenovo Platform Service in Services.msc
