I am getting a message from the Solution Center that my SanDisk SSD (which I assume is my hard drive?) failed the "SMART Short Self Test" with an error code of whd00v00g-umkx5d. My attempts to contact Support directly have been frustrating and fruitless and Google cannot find a single thing on the web referencing that error code. I treat my computer nicely and it is nowhere near old enough for the hard drive to start experiencing problems (though it is, of course, out of warranty by now). Can anyone explain what this error code means or suggest next steps?

I don't have one of those particular drives, but in general, SSDs don't keep and report SMART statistics the same way as normal hard drives. They all seem to give that kind of junk error code on SMART queries. I would ignore it.
