rescue and recovery

I get a message that the backup did not complete successfully.  I did so successfully once before, but the incremental backup failed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

Re: rescue and recovery

Both to the C drive & an external one. I think that my best bet is to uninstall the program, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Any help in that regards would be appreciated.

Re: rescue and recovery

Could someone show me how to uninstall rescue and recovery? I can turn on the app, but I cannot find where it is except buy putting the name into the start button.

Thank you,

Michael

Re: rescue and recovery

Hi Michael,

What machine do you have and what OS are you running and is the OS an upgrade from a previous OS?

Re: rescue and recovery

Dear Dave,
Thank you for continuing to reach out.
I run Win7 on a T450s that Lenovo had installed. I can usually easily locate programs and uninstall them by myself, but this one is an exception.

Thank you,

Michael

Re: rescue and recovery

Hi Michael,

You should be able to uninstall it from Control Panel, Programs and Features.  I'm just wondering what you are going to use for backup or to reinstall the OS if something doesn't work right?

Have you burned a set of restore discs yet?  You might want to try to burn a set before you get rid of the program.

Re: rescue and recovery

I tried to locate it on the control panel, but I did not succeed.

Re: rescue and recovery

If you are able to open the program and run it, then it has to be listed in Programs and Features.  It's called Rescue and Recovery, not Lenovo Rescue and Recovery.  Scroll down past the Lenovo programs and it should be listed.

If it is not there, I'm not sure how to tell you to uninstall it.
