Hi,

My fingerprint reader wont work in windows 10 1803,it says device cannot start (code 10)

I have read several forum posts about this and the solution seems to be to roll back to an old driver, then reinstall a new one but the links dont have the older driver listed anymore.could anyone help me with this? Thanks

the driver that might work is a 26mb driver

Hello and welcome,

The older versions are still on the server.  Copy the link to the current version and replace the file name with whatever version you're looking for.  They're listed at the bottom of the readme.

I don't encourage this... try it at your own risk... Well, it's not BIOS. A driver is probably safe to fiddle this way.  Still, you're on your own ;)

Even though they aren't linked on the download page, the previous versions seem to still be available on the server.

The current .exe:

https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n1mgf12w.exe

The readme lists the previous versions:

https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n1mgf12w.txt

The following versions have been released to date.

Version Build ID Rev. Issue Date
  ----------- -------- ---- ----------
  5.2.3535.26 N1MGF12W 01 2018/08/21
  5.2.3531.26 N1MGF11W 02 2018/05/29
  5.2.3531.26 N1MGF11W 01 2018/04/27
  5.2.3527.26 N1MGF10W 01 2018/02/20
  5.2.3524.26 N1MGF09W 02 2017/12/06
  5.2.3524.26 N1MGF09W 01 2017/11/06

  5.2.3515.26 N1MGF08W 02 2017/08/10
  5.2.3515.26 N1MGF08W 01 2017/07/03
  5.2.3515.26 N1MGF07W 01 2017/06/26
  5.2.3514.26 N1MGF06W 02 2017/06/26
  5.2.3514.26 N1MGF06W 01 2017/06/06
  5.2.3512.26 N1MGF05W 01 2017/04/17
  5.2.3510.26 N1MGF04W 01 2017/03/22
  5.2.3507.26 N1MGF02W 01 2017/02/10
  5.2.3505.26 N1MGF01W 01 2017/01/19

Pick the one you want and replace the file name in the original link. For instance, if you want the first  one released, the exe link I posted becomes:

https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/N1MGF01W.exe
