recently i bought used thinkpad t470p
i reinstalled windows and all lenovo drivers using lenovo vantage and everything is ok, system is running without any notacable problems
i had my laptop restart without any warning and with no error message. the situations is not releavent, somtimes system restarts when i am browsing and somethimes when i download something.
when i check windows event viewer i notcied this error kernal power ID 41

core i7 7700hq
1tb sata ssd

Sudden shutdown might be overheating. I use TPFanControl (freeware) to monitor temperatures.

today i use cinebnch with changing power setting to performance
the laptop did not pass the test and restarted
meanwhile i monitered temps and they are getting higher rapedly
the fan kicked in but temps still getting higher

If you are under warranty, call support. If not, I would clean out dust from the fan and reseat the fan with fresh thermal paste.

90 running Cinebench is hot but not hot enough to restart. Usual limit is about 103C. Did you ever check the warranty on this site?
You bought a used system, but the original warranty would still be intact.

I agree with Rich, from what you describe something isn't right somewhere especially with the system restarting in idle conditions, time to make use of the warranty because I'm not sure this can be resolved through the Community.
