ultrabay harddrive caddy for t430s

Hello,

I am looking for an ultrabay harddrive caddy for my t430s.

Have been looking around in the internet and only found offers between 30-40€.

Do you know any place where I could get a cheap one from? Any recommendations?

I would appreciate your help a lot.

Thank you,

Anasus

Re: ultrabay harddrive caddy for t430s

I bought this one: 9.5mm Bezel SATA 2nd HDD Hard Drive caddy bay for T400s T500 T410s X200 43N3412. It's a copy of the real thing but it fits and works perfectly in my T430s.

Re: ultrabay harddrive caddy for t430s

The 9.5mm adapter will work, however, you will have a gap above the bezel when installed in your Thinkpad.  The best solution is the 12.7mm Ultrabay Adapter (sometimes called a caddy).  It fits perfectly and leaves no gap, and will hold any 2.5-in drive from 9.5 to 12.5mm.

Yeah, it will cost a bit more, but you will have a more elegant solution for your T430s.

Re: ultrabay harddrive caddy for t430s

The Ultrabay opening on the T430s is actually ~10m so the adapter I bought on eBay fits perfectly. The genuine Lenovo 12.7mm adapter won't fit because it's too thick.

The 7mm HD that came with my T430s fits nicely inside the caddy as does a standard 9.5mm HD from another ThinkPad.

Ah, yes!  The s model is slimmer than the T430 or my T510.  I'll remember that. Smiley Happy
