IBM 600 bois help please!

2008-09-04, 17:31 PM

New here and not that computer savvy...but learning.

My roomie has a IBM 600 with Windows 2000 that is in dire need of reformatting due to teh amount of bugs that seemed to have accumulated and bunjed up the thing.

I have a dics and key...and even found the instructions on another site on how to uae it..but what I can't figure out is how to get the thing recinfigured to boot from the CD.

I know it has something to do with the bois but can't figure out how to get there.

Welcome to the Forum.

Starting with the unit off, press and hold the F1 key down while turning it on. Release after the MEMCOUNT completes and you hear the POST beep.

You'll be in EZSetup. Fly the birdie to Startup and set the BOOT devices as CD, FDD, HD1 and save your way out.

Full disclosure, I don't work for Lenovo.
