Is it possible to install an Intel Q9100 on a T60?

If not, what's the most powerful processor that can be installed on a T60? Thanks!

Assuming that the currently installed CPU in your T60 is socketed in a PPGA448 Socket rather than directly soldered onto the motherboard as a PBGA449 chip package,

The newer Q9100 Core2 Quad CPU architecture "Penryn" is 45nm based while the T60's were normally supplied with Core2 Duo Intel T series "Yonah" CPUs that are 65nm based.   The 45nm to 65nm difference would normally require a different Intel CPU support chipset.

The allowable VID voltage range for the Q9100 CPU is lower than the following T60 supplied T series CPUs:
  o  64bit T7600 VID range is 1.0375V-1.300V
  o  32bit T2700 VID range is 1.1625V - 1.30V
