LCD turns off at Windows boot

2013-04-26, 17:14 PM

Hi all,

I have an lenovo thinkpad T61.

When I start it I get the Lenovo Thinkpad picture and the screen turns off completely as soon as Windows 7 Pro starts.

I get the Welcome sounds etc. but the screen stays completely off (no backlight!).

Everything works the way it should in BIOS and Safemode with network drivers even when set to max resolution

I haven't found any reports about anyone having a similar problem :/

Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum!

What's the 7-character model number of your T61, located on the same sticker that holds the serial number and the production date and can be found on the bottom of the laptop?

Cheers,

George
