Memory Upgrade Locks up Winword

Hi need help, just upgraded memory on my T43 but nor cannot work in Winword. Can open documents but then CPU usage goes to 100% and stays there, lock up the document. Any suggestions

Have you tried running a program such as MemTest86+ to see if it finds any problems with the newly-installed memory?

Try taking the new memory stick out and see if it operates correctly. If so get a different memory stick.

Also would be worth taking the sticks out and rearranging them.  its possible that one wasn't in correctly which could be causing a problem.  often if that were the case it just wouldn't let your computer boot up, but there are exceptions to every rule, but its worth a try before you start replacing RAM
