Restart from ultrabay

2009-05-19, 6:46 AM

Hello. I changed the hdd and OS (from Hitachi 160 gb to Seagate 500 gb) and I want to restart but using the old drive that now is in the ultrabay and has the old Ultimate 32 bit, (I change to 64 bit).

Is possible to change the name of the drives location in the bios? Or something like that?

The "old" drive must still be bootable -> remove "new" drive (easy) and test if "old" drive in ultrabay bootable.

when ok

Insert "new" drive with "old" drive in ultrabay

Enter BIOS

Set Boot Priority in BIOS - both drives should be seen in BIOS
