T43p forgets trackpoint sensitivity settings on return from standby

2009-12-13, 23:39 PM

T43p has latest Ultra Nav driver installed, but often forgets trackpoint settings on a return from standby.  I'm wondering if this is a power mgmt problem or a driver prblem.

Re: T43p forgets trackpoint sensitivity settings on return from standby

The machine type/mdl is 2668-76U.  The OS is Win XP, SP3.  The Ultra Nav driver is v12.2.3.1, supplied by Synaptics and dated 2/19/09.

I do not recall precisely from which page I downloaded this driver, but I needed to do it because I was having this "forgetting the settings" problem ever since I reinstalled the OS from scratch from the original IBM product disks.  Having reinstalled the Win XP, we then updated the drivers using the Lenovo support page, and this behavior began.  The timeframe for the OS reinstall and the driver update was Feb, 2009. After several attempts to fix this problem, I stumbled on the Synapatics v12 driver which seemed to improve but not completely solve the problem.

Thanks for your help.

My laptop is also having the same exact problem.  It is on Windows XP SP3, with Ultranav driver downloaded from Lenovo support site, Ver. 12.2.3.1; Driver provider: Synaptics; Date:2/19/2009.

Any suggestions?
