Re: T6x(p) Shipping Messages

2008-01-28, 15:52 PM
I ordered my laptop on the 21st of december, and I was told I would receive it on 16th of Jan.... I've called 4 times before Jan 16th to make sure I would receive it.... on Jan 17th, I called to ask what happened, and they told me it was delayed, and I would receive it on 28th (today), if not earlier. But, I started to question because I haven't received shipping confirmation from brampton warehouse so, I've called several times last week to make sure I would receive it today, but. when I called I got different answer from different CS reps....
1) Your package will be shipped on 22nd, and you should receive it no later than 28th.
2) yes I see that your computer is in bramptopn, and they should ship it out to you very soon.
3) I see that your package will be sent out from brampton between 22nd to 28th, so you should receive the package and shipping confirmation some time on 28th....

Today I wake up inthe morning and I see shipping confirmation, so I was like YAY for once they were right. but when I opened the email there were no tracking number... so I called lenovo, to ask for tracking number they answered, it was shipped from china, and you will not receive the tracking number until it gets to canada..... I was like huh??????? so, I asked to speak with a manager, and she said "all of them are busy, I will ask them to call you back". I asked for their name, and she responded "there are 12 managers here in lenovo canada, and I cannot give you specific manager that will call you back"....

I thought there were only like 10-15 customer reps in call center... At least that's what other representative told me.... feels like I got scammed....

the worst thing is I prepaid for this laptop, and if I want to cancel, I'm scared that they are just not going to refund.... Although they are big ass company, but they are acting like a some mama papa manufacture....

So, I ask all of you who have lenovo, "is it worth waiting for more than a month??"

Bruce,

If you want to PM your order number to me, I will try to help.

Chinmoku_tak

I can certainly understand your feelings of uncertainty if you prepaid for an oder and are now wating for it.   For customers who order via credit card, the card is not charged until the system actually ships.

I'll offer to check into your order as well if you send me  PM with the order number 424xxxxxx

It does appear that multiple freight carriers may be used to route the systems within Canada once they have cleared customs, and it appears that figures largely in why tracking numbers are not available earlier in the process.

@ chinmoku_tak

Get out while you still can. As I have found out, they will string you along to keep you from canceling your order and have no problems lying. This is without a doubt the worst treatment I have ever had the pleasure to pay for.

Thanks, I've considered that. but how long would it take for them to refund me??
Also, they told me they are going to refund 10% for preboxing day sale price match, and additional $100 for inconvenience...
I haven't seen the refund coming through my bank either.... seriously, I feel I got scammed....

Update: it's 7PM EST and I didn't receive a phone call from the manager.... seriouslly...
Also, I remembered that the 3rd time I called, the Customer Rep told me that Lenovo was having problem due to custom holdback, and was not Lenovo's fault...
How could it be custom if the laptop never left China until today!!!! (five days after I spoke with her...)
I guess they lied to me and blame the fault to someone else....
ALL I'm asking is accurate shipping information, and those requested refund that Customer Reps told me Lenovo would refund!!!

This is not good start for my first lenovo experience....
My friend asked me what laptop he should get today. I told him to stay away from Lenovo, if he's not planning to wait for it for more than a month. So, he choose Dell....

I ordered my T61 2 days ago  (January 26 2008 form Canada),  and I am hopping that I will get my laptop before February 25.
Since I am going to vacation on February 28 and I really want to have my laptop on my vacation. Do you think I am going to get it before I left ?

If you don't think so, is it worth to get dell laptop instead ? cos i got good price for my think pad ($490.40 off).

thank you

hey dewandableg,
I think I can tell you what I've tld my friend, if you can only wait a month, then I would suggest going with dell... it's only been two days since you've ordered... I've wanted too long.... don't make the mistake like I did....
Now if I cancel my Lenovo, and order Dell I'm gonna have to wait longer than waiting for lenovo...

I think thinkpad is duable than dell, but aslong as you get good warranty, it won't matter...

Thank you for your quick respond.
I am going to give them call first thing in the morning tomorrow and ask if the shipment will be arrive before February 25 or else I am going to get dell.
I think IBM is losing businesses because lack of customer service form Lenovo, especially for Canadian customer. They really need to address this issue.

Update:
I'm afraid to say that Lenovo costumer service doesn't appear to be very honest to costumers. Yesterday I called them and I was told that my order would be shipped from China today. Today I called them again to make sure it was shipped, but the rep told me my order is in Canada and probably in the process of custom clearance. I don't know which one to believe.

New Update: I apologize for the above misinformation. I called Lenovo once more and they confirmed that my order is already in their warehouse in Brampton. So it seems the shipping from China to Canada is fast.

Re: T6x(p) Shipping Messages

I called Lenovo Customer Service this morning to check my order status and they said that there is no problem for my order in this stage and already working on my laptop. But he did not mention when I should received the laptop what he said was I should receive my laptop before Feb 25.

Since I don’t believe what he said I called again and this time was another CS rep answer my call, I ask when should I receive my laptop and she said February 29 or probably early Mach . With the second answer I am considering ordering dell laptop.

I probably going to call them again tomorrow and let see what the answer form another CS.
