Advanced Doc & Lenovo ATI X1300 PCIe - Did anybody have successful experience?

I would like to drive my 30-inch monitor (which has 2560x1600 WQXGA resolution) with ThinkPad T60 or T61 connected to Advanced Doc with recommended Lenovo ATI X1300 PCIe graphics adapter inside.

I know that some members of different forums tried to get working solution with other graphics adapters and they wasn't a success.

Has anybody tested Lenovo ATI X1300 PCIe graphics adapter inside of Advanced Doc with special Lenovo X1300 driver for ThinkPad Advanced Dock installed?

Is anybody here who had any experience with that?

Often it is quite helpful to also read the other posts in a forum, before you ask questions!

I did.

In the thread you mentioned there is no information about any successful experience with Lenovo X1300 and Advanced Doc.
Only with Matrox graphics adapter.

Yes I have, Unfortunately even with only the Lenovo x1300 I seem to freeze when just about any application starts up. I gave up after a year of battleing ;_;

Re: Advanced Doc & Lenovo ATI X1300 PCIe - Did anybody have successful experience?

For it to be successful, it really all depends on which OS you are running (XP or Vista) and which model you plan on utilizing.. either the T60 or T61 (because of the different video cards offered).

If you plan on running Vista with Aero, you must use the same drivers for both video cards so the chipsets must be the same (i.e. if you have a T60p with the v5200 then you get one of the v5200 PCIe cards for the dock).

If you are running XP then it is much easier... you are able to run video cards with different chipsets.

If you PM me, I can also point you to some other posts on another forum for more information.
