Hi,
This week I upgraded the BIOS of my T60 to the latest version, as suggested by Lenovo's Update utility. After I did this, my USB keyboard no longer works in the BIOS or in the GRUB2 boot loader I use to choose between Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP. Once booted, everything works. This is particularly annoying when booting in the docking station.
I noticed that as part of updating the bios, the utility printed that it saved the old bios. Is there a way to revert the bios upgrade?
Best regards
Jakob

Hi schiotz,
The older BIOSes are given at the end of the proceeding link:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-63024.html
Speaking extemporaneously, I think you just have to run the setup.
Hope it helps.

I've same problems:
Lenovo ThinkPad T60p wide screen model - BIOS Update 1.17 ( 7IET36WW) of 2009-08-27
If Notebook is docked, the boot stops with Message:
"Integritätstest für den Kodebereich fehlgeschlagen. System angehalten."
translated by Google:
"Integrity test for the code area failed. System Halted" (Don't know, if the same Message gets in english systems)
Notebook OS (windows) starts without problems, if it's undocked.
If the notebook is in dockinstation, it boots only without pluged ext. mouse and keyboard.
BIOS - SETUP -> Defaults -> no success!
BIOS - SETUP -> SecurityChip reset -> no success!
If the notebook pluged in dockingstation, and Mouse and Keyboard pluged in USB-ports of the notebook(!), ext. keyboard doesn't work until OS booted, but the OS boots (hey!!!???)
I phoned with Lenovo-Support: New BIOS is required... but when???

Hi Maliha,
I looked for your Link...
What do you mean with this artikel?
"Video driver (SavageIX8) for Windows 2000/XP - ThinkPad A22e (Pentium models), T20, T21, T22"
Is it the right Link?

Hello,
I switched my BIOS back to Version 1.15.
Now it works.
I get the older BIOS for my T60p wide screen here:

I hope, it's helpful.

Hi all!
Thanks for all the replies! I downgraded the BIOS, now it works again. I downloaded the old BIOS by going to lenovo.com, choosing support and downloads, choosing my model number, then choosing BIOS downloads. Three items appeared, one was the BIOS upgrades. I just chose the second-to-last version, downloaded it, and installed it.

Great that your problems got solved nonetheless it looks like lenovo BIOS has a bug which needs to be addressed by them to utimately resolve the issue.

Same problem here. I haven't tried to flash my T60 with the older BIOS yet because i am running Windows 7 and i noticed one of the changes in the latest version (2.25) is "(New) Supports Microsoft Windows 7. (addition)". i wonder what that really means and what would happen if i roll back to the previous version? really annoying not being able to enter my HDD password on boot using an external USB keyboard when my T60 is docked...

FWIW...I just did a bios upgrade on my T61 last week and lost all USB functionality.
I solved this by uninstalling all USB hubs in the Device Manager, (Start, My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager...), and then doing a reinstall of those devices and drivers. Google for further details if needed. Good luck.
