Activation context generation failed for "C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWMTR32V.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
Found the answer. <http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/post?board.id=T_Series_Thinkpads&message.reply_to_id=4695>
Download Microsoft Visual 8.0 <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displa...>
and it worked.

I had the same problem when I clicked the link above...it sent me to a reply to message screen.
I'm guessing by now you have got it fixed. For those who find this I had the same error message as the original poster had after every reboot. I unistalled the ThinkPad Power Management driver & ThinkPad Power Manager. When I let them be re-installed via the ThinkVantage System Update the error message disappeared.

I too had the same issue and was able to resolve it using MB's advice. Thanks for the tip MB.
