BIOS 2.06 (79ETC6WW) availability

Do anyone know where I can get an older BIOS version 2.06 (79ETC6WW) for a T60 2613-CTO, preferably bootable version?

Thanks

Re: BIOS 2.06 (79ETC6WW) availability

Hi MJM!

There are over a dozen old BIOS versions for the T60 available on the Lenovo support site, but not that one. What's special about it?

Re: BIOS 2.06 (79ETC6WW) availability

Long story, but I believe my problems got worse when I updated to the latest BIOS. I looked last week and could not find the older bIOS files.

Thanks for the reply

Re: BIOS 2.06 (79ETC6WW) availability

replacing a bios rarely fixes any "problems". Unless the bios was specificaly designed to address a specific issue, replacing it shoud be avoided if your system has problems. You are risking permanent damage to your system board by flashing the bios while the system is unstable.

I'd recommend getting advice with whatever the problem is, rather then trying to fix it with a bios flash.

Re: BIOS 2.06 (79ETC6WW) availability

Ahah, OK.

For others finding there way here, to find older BIOS versions, got to the download page for the most recent page and scroll to the bottom, e.g.:

Hope this helps!
