Re: Backlight Failure

You will need an ohm meter or multimeter to test them

Re: Backlight Failure

[ Edited ]

I suddenly remember something.

Before my backlight failed some of the led's on my inverter also stopped working. those were the ones on the right. They didn't work for the last year orso.

Only bluetooth and power led's wore working.

Could it be that this is cable damage after all?

can anyone tell me if the lines in the cable for the backlight and the leds are located to the sides of the cable?

Kind regards

The cable splits into 3 legs after it goes into the lcd assembly, so I would expect the leads that go to the inverter would be on the right side of the cable. The bluetooth leads would be on the left, because the inverter is on the right side of the screen and bluetooth modem is on the left. I have not traced the cable leads, but I would think it has to be that way.

Re: Backlight Failure

Yeah, that's right. But I mean the cabling inside the smaller cable which has split off.

If the leds indicator wires are to the sides of that smaller cable. ( I expect the sides to fail first before the cable goes) it could indicate a cable failure. If those wires are in the middle it's far more unlikely I guess.

Kind regards,
