I reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit and I was running the system update. The BIOS portion failed on me (not responding) and I had to reboot my computer. Now it seems like the computer turns on but the screen doesn't turn on.

if your dvd is spinning up, you could try to download your bios as an iso file, burn it to disc,
and try to boot and flash from this cd.
The last chance is to take out the battery, click power ten times, insert battery again and plug ac in.
If nothing goes, call Lenovo support line, you´ll need a new system board.

TIP: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the system.
