When I launch Rescue and Recovery on my T61p by pressing the blue ThinkVantage button on startup, I get complaints from Express Repair that "Errors have been detected in an operating system file". I have chosen to repair the supposedly corrupt files twice and the same immediate result is that I have to re-install various Windows Updates!
I have Windows XP SP3 and maintain my system with all the latest updates, etc. I also use Lenovo System Update frequently. Has anyone else had this issue because it only started to occur in the last month or so.
