Ibm/Lenovo Thinkpad Z61m recovery without recovery partition.

2016-09-04, 1:20 AM

Greetings Lenovo Community,

It seems that I have accidentally deleted my recovery partition while trying to dualboot with Windows XP and Linux Mint 13.  Do I have to purchase recovery media to reverse this?  This is an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad Z61m, titanium cover, bluetooth, no camera, and Core Duo.

Are  you sure the partition's really deleted? I dual-booted Linux 13 and 17 on XP and Win 7 without a hitch unless one tried to customize the parition themselves proir installation. The only time I heard user laments on this issue is if something badly mauled GRUB.

Good luck!
