Please answer my question about my Warranty

Hi

I bought my Lenovo T 60 in 2007 with extended warranty which will end in Dec 2012.  I unplugged the battery from day one when I got the laptop and ran my laptop only on the power cord.  Now my battery says it can only store up to 49% of it's charge, so will Lenovo replace my battery free due to my warranty or I am stuck with their faulty product?  Wish I checked before.

Re: Please answer my question about my Warranty

The batteries are only covered for 12 months, regardless of the warranty on the rest of the machine.

Cheers,

George

Re: Please answer my question about my Warranty

batteries are not meant to be stored for long time without been used, so it is not that the battery itself is faulty but rather your usage/storage behavior that is wrong, (this is also why normal battery have a use by date, check the Duracell and Energizer battery packs if you need proof).

having said that you should check whether you are eligible for the free replacement, by following the instruction in the above link.
