Re: Pointer setting revert to default settings after I restart T61 Vista Home

The title says most of it.  Everytime I change my pointer setting (arrow speed) to a faster one, it is inevitably back to default when I restart.  This is very irritating needless to say.  This is on a T61 7662-cto with Vista Home.  Thanks.

Re: Pointer setting revert to default settings after I restart T61 Vista Home

Do you have logitech mouse driver installed?   If so, the culprit is KHALMNPR.EXE loaded at startup.   Run MSCONFIG, startup tab, sort by MFG and untick that entry.

How you knew that, I don't know.  You hit the nail on the head - fixed it right up.  Thanks a bunch!

Cool.   I may have found the solution here or on another forum many moons ago.  If you plug in a different model logitech mouse (I have a few), the entry comes back, but you can just disable it again.  Otherwise, this works great and I don't know what that entry did since everything still works, but without the annoyance of the regular trackpad settings being reset.   :---)
