Power on with AC Attach BIOS option?

Hi Guys,

The above option exists for T400 and newer, X1 and newer, X201 etc in the BIOS.

I find it tremendously helpful, but anyone know if and how one can request lenovo to add it to a T61 BIOS update?

(or what the guidelines are as to if they will or won't?).

Re: Power on with AC Attach BIOS option?

I believe the hardware would have to support such an option for the bios to be able to enable it. The bios is only simple instructions for the system to control the hardware, a bios change cannot make a system power on automatically if the hardware wasn't designed to do it already, and if it was, I think the option would be there already.

This is only speculation though, so maybe someone that knows for sure can chime in and enlighten us.

Ah interesting reply. Thanks for that.

I wonder if anyone else will reply with any further insight.
