you most likely would need to get a new inverter, you can get it either from IBM parts or places like ebay.

I have only seen one inverter with the lights burned out. I have seen many machines with a blown fuse on the motherboard that feeds the lights

I just repaired this one I am on now. Was not the inverter. Was in the lcd cable. Replaced it and all lights are active as should be. Before, all lights were out.

What's DOS?

What are the locations of the fuses ?

I have a problem with a Lenovo t60p. None of the LEDs glow and the laptop does not boot at all. Wondering if it's the fuse on the motherboard.

I verified that the 20v socket that connetes to the motherbord edge connector actually works (measured 20v on the endge connector pins).

If it doesn't boot, it isn't the LED fuse. The LED fuse is a little 0.5a fuse that only controls the lights.
