Problem with Lenovo T61

HI , I recently got a notebook Lenovo T61 model # 6480W1Z. , i have no CD reader on it , i have an parallel port.

 

The hard drive have crash and no more turn , so i change it , has i got no cd reader , i put the new hd on another notebook to install my windows xp. no problem up to here.

 

Now that i have reput my hd on my T61 , the os wont boot and all that i see is a black screen with a  _  flashing in white.

 

What can i do now?

so instead of the cd-reader you have an ultrabay bay parallel port/serial port adapter? in your bios tray switching the sata mode from achi to compatibility. 

 

You have to install the OS from the Thinkpad to get it working, as XP is fussy with the hardware configuration change from one machine to another, especially between different manufacturers.
