Rescue and recovery for T42

I need to do a recovery on my t42, all the recovery partitions are gone on this laptop. Can I use the recovery discs

I have from my other t42 to do this operation? If so what is the procedure to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Rescue and recovery for T42

Yes, you can use the disks from another T42...

Go into BIOS, set the media drive (DVD or whatever you have) as the primary booting device, press F10 to save and exit.

Insert the first disk, boot the machine and the recovery set will guide you from there.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George
