I have a Thinkpad T61, 2gig processor, 4gig ram. It has an internal Ricoh 4 in 1 Card Reader. This reader was working just fine with all of my various cards and adapters untill I upgraded from Vista Buiseness 32 bit to Vista Ultimate 64 bit. When I insert my Sony Memory Stick ProDuo 8gig card(with adapter) into the reader it says that I must format the disk, and sometimes asks me to insert a disk. I try to format the disk and it gives me the error "cyclic rendundancy error" but when I put the card into an external Card Reader on this same machine it runs just fine as normal with the auto play window opening, ect. ect. This is really a pain because I don't want to have the external card reader attached all the time. Also I have a Trancend 4gig card that I use for Ready Boost in an external Card Reader, and it doesn't work in the internal Ricoh 4 in 1either. I have tried all the drivers, manual installs, auotmatic installs and I am out of things to try. Anyone out there have the same problem and if so how do we fix this?? It must be the driver, but as I said I have tried all of them??? Thanks a bunch for any info on this matter!!
Ditto this. I've had this problem ever since th 64 bit OS was installed. Everything worked fine in Vista 32, just not 64. When I insert XD cards I often get BSOD's and many times when I put a SD card it's recognized the first time, but not the next time.
It has almost been a year and no new drivers. Sigh.... they need an update!
Hello Biohazard have you tried this site?? I downloaded version 6.00.01.13 and my memory sticks work now. I am not sure about the xD cards, for I have not one to try at the moment! Anyway give it a shot, and I hope it works for you!!!!http://station-drivers.com/page/ricoh.htm
