System is not getting on

Hello everyone,

I have T60p  8743CTO running Vista business (ubuntu on the other partition but not efficiently). I recently updated the memory to 4GB from 2GB. It was only showing 2GB instead of 3GB  so I opened to check if they have been placed well. So I removed both and put them back. When I turn the system on, it sounds like starting and makes sound (around 6-7 times) and doesn't boot (no screen). Only battery sign (power sign if connected to power ) and 'z' sign next to battery light up. I tried 2-3 times with no success. Once I removed hard disk and placed back and tried couple of times but no use.

Could you please help me to solve this.

Thanks

Yogi
