T-30 2366 XP reload

I have reloaded this 2366 with the IBM disc, then SP-2 and Sp-3 off of CD.   Went to Lenovo and grabbed BIOS and Video.   Still I am stuck at 800 x 600 and no ATI in the adaptor tab.   Grabbing other XP updates now, what as I missing???

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

Graphics card driver:

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/1rd637ww.exe

After downloading and extracting the driver, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Video and run the setup file from there.

Cheers,

George

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

Just loaded same XP install disc on a 80 Hitachi T-30.  Now both of these machine boot to a black screen, asking you to chose XP Pro or MS Windows.  is there a way around this.   Willing to do a full reload if nescessary.     thanks

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

Have you tried either of the options? It's been a while, but I believe that MS Windows should be the correct answer.

Good luck.

Cheers,

George

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

MS windows never take you anywhere, only XP PRo works.  No how to get rid of that, or why on two machines.??  Some thing new now.  this T-30 has the wireless card/modem.   Is this 2003 wireless good to use, or get a another card for it?   I'm new to wireless/HiFi.   I built this machine so my wife and I do not use our personal machines on the road.

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

Get an Intel 2200BG, $5 or thereabouts, supports all modern encryptions, you'll just have to run the "no 1802" hack on the machine prior to installing it.

Cheers,

George

Re: T-30 2366 XP reload

I have been updating this every week or so.  Tonight I can't get it to boot, let it power up the battery.  Power off and 10 times on the power button.    one time it would not boot and I took out the battery, booted fine.   not tonight.  All of the power LED work when I hit the power button.    ??
