Please describe the symptoms fully. No signs of life at all? Charging LED illuminating? No response whatsoever when you press the power button, no matter how brief? Have you installed a new CMOS battery?

Regards,

James

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

0 Life - I've changed out a few CMOS bats - this mobo is deader than a door knob.

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

Sad, **bleep** fine machines when they ran. RIP.

You near me? I might buy that T30 for parts.

James

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

I have two dead T30 mobo's now <sigh>

I was thinking about listing them on ebay - I'll change my profile so that you can email me.

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

From the photo provided, I see the metal internal piece is missing from the caddy. Your supplier did not provide a complete part. This is the part that will fit over the two outboard HD screws to hold the caddy in place and is necessary for function.

The caddy screws to the HD, the cover has the metal piece that attaches to the HD and closes the drive in the laptop. It's integral with the cover and that photo is far too small to tell if the part is there or not.

James

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

Thanks everyone - I had the caddy figured out a few days back Smiley Happy  The mobo is dead so I am going to sell the HDD separate from the laptop.

Re: T30 HARD DRIVE COVER CADDY

It was actually Jhems post that fixed my problem.  I did not think it helped until I viewed the movie - how do I fix the solution?
