Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows how much (retail) the T41 was when first released? Also when it was released? i need the info for an insurance claim and for the life of me I can't remember.

Thanks,

Re: T41 Pricing?

Don't know about the UK but the price was around $2000-$2500 in the US.

Re: T41 Pricing?

I think for an entry level one was like 1400 pounds. For a top spec one it was like 2300 pounds, give or take 15%.

That's that bad I was going to tell them it was between 800 and 1000 pounds. Anyone got an idea on year of manufacture? Will there be anything on the laptop itself to tell me what it is???

Re: T41 Pricing?

I think it was early 2004 is when they started to produce the T41.On the bottom of the laptop, there is a tag that tells you when your laptop got manufacturered.

Sweet, thanks alot for your help. I don't think it will be a major problem if I tell my Insurance that it was worth £800-£1000!?!?!

Re: T41 Pricing?

Well, a 5 year old computer isn't worth much (certainly not a thousand quid  Smiley Surprised  ).  But the replacement value is what you should focus on, if you have a replacement value policy.  It would probably cost a thousand to replace it with a comparable middle of the range T400/500.

I didn't mean to say that the laptop was worth £1000 now. I beleive the insurance company need to know how much it "was" so they can compare with todays machines.
