T60 Beeps 1-4-1-1

After pushing power button, beeps 1-4-1-1.  Display stays blank.  Cannot determine what's wrong exactly. Switch around the memory modules but getting the same beeps. Switched hard drives around - same beeps.  What's wrong? Anyone with experience with this?

A 1-4-1-1 beep code pattern on a PhoenixBIOS (which is what Thinkpad T60 have) system means that there is an issue with the system memory. 

do you have new set of ram to try?

Took same spec RAM from a working laptop and inserted into mem slots. Same result.

try removing the cmos battery under the keyboard, and then reattach it after say 5 to 10 minutes, see if that helps.

i forgot to ask if you run the laptop without the ram, does it beep 1-3-3-1?

what happens if you put in one known working ram module into the laptop? does both of the dimm slots produce the same 1-4-1-1 beeps?
