Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

Unfortunately haven't really been able to do that.

As for the software, I've done a manual installation as well as automatic. :-|

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

Oddly enough, happened twice this morning - no events in the event log and no discernable pattern as to why this is occurring.

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

And again, happened three times today.  Once while unplugged within about five minutes while having a PanTech LTE modem plugged in.  Again when plugged in after a few hours and then a third time while unplugged with no peripherials plugged in.

I'm stumped since this happens across my W510, X201 and T410.

Anyone else ever experience this where the X201 keyboard effectively goes dead with Windows 7 x64 Enterprise?

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

@usher,

Is there any 3rd party software which you have install on all 3 of your TP? There isn't much keyboards issue in the thread other than hardware failure.

The only thing that I can think of that could potentially have a conflict would be ActivIdentity ActivClient 6.2 x64.

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

@usher,

Maybe you can uninstall the software on either one of your TPs to narrow down the cause.

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

I'll give it a whirl on the x201 since that's what I find myself carrying with me most of the time. Hopefully the Windows 7 smartcard reader will suffice for the time being Smiley Happy

Alright, still having the issue after ActivIdentity was removed.

Re: T60 Thinkpad Keyboard randomly stops working.

Replaced my T60 keyboard. Worked for a few months. Kaput again.

The keyboard warranty doesn't mean...........squat.
